Oats Uttappam/Oats dosa
Oats are super healthy containing high soluble fibre. Lowers cholesterol, great for digestion, helps weight loss & one of the most healthiest cereal widely used today. I keep experimenting with oats to make it "tastier" and interesting to eat.
Oats uttappam turned out to be a huge success! Try it and enjoy.
Preparation Time: 30 mins (soak)
Fry: 2-3 mins
Ingredients:
To soak
Oats - 1 cup
Rice flour- 1/2 cup
Rava (bombay rava)- 2 heaped tablespoons
Curd- 1 cup (sour)
Salt to taste
To Add
Onion (Medium)- 1/2 fine chopped
Curry leaves- 5-6 (chopped)
Coriander leaves/Cilantro- 2 tablespoons (fine chopped)
Green chillies- 1no (fine chopped)
Cumin/Jeera- 1 tsp
Grated Carrot (medium sized)- 1 (Optional)
Oil to fry.
Method:
Mix in all the ingredients under 'To Soak' for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes if you think the consistency is too thick add water to get the dosa consistency.
Now add in all the ingredients mentioned under 'To Add.'
Heat tava and make your uttapams. Fry in medium flame.
Serve hot with coconut chutney/mulaha podi (spiced powder)
Viola! Healthy instant breakfast.
